As part of this commitment, we would like to provide you with some information about our sterilization and infection control techniques.

In today's world, with all the new viruses and bacteria, we all need to be concerned about the health of our families when we visit any health care establishment. At Barranca Canyon Dentistry, Drs. Shafaee and Shahriyarpour have been advocates of proper sterilization and cleanliness. If you are already a patient, you have seen our diligence in protecting you: all the disposable items we use, the drills and instruments that come out of the sterilization bags, and the impeccably clean dental operatories. But did you know that we also go to the extent of having one of the nation's leading bioscience companies monitor our sterilization weekly to ensure safety? And how about the water bottles next to our dental chairs? The water lines that lead to the dental drill and the dental water spray have been found to harbor bacteria over weeks, months, and years.

Our office has a water line disinfection system that allows us to disinfect the water lines each and every day. In addition, we have installed a bottling and tubing system with antimicrobial components to resist the growth of organisms in the first place.
